Sophia Bush and Grant Hughes's journey as a married couple is coming to an end as they move toward divorce.

Fox News Digital got documents that show Bush, who is 41 years old, filed for divorce in a Los Angeles County court on Friday. Legally, the "One Tree Hill" star did this because she and her husband had no young children.
This news comes just seven weeks after the couple celebrated their first anniversary as a married pair. During this time, Hughes showed his love for her on Instagram by posting cute photos of the two of them.
"Happy First Anniversary, my love! What a full, beautiful, exciting, lively, and growing year we've had together. I really enjoy living with you!" read his touching caption that told the story of their trip together.
"It seemed true at the time. And showed how new the journey we were taking together was. "Can't wait for all the adventures to come!"
Bush replied, "Multitudes, my babe," and added an infinity emoji to the message.
The photo carousel showed pictures from their wedding day, thrilling ATV adventures, red carpet visits, and other events.
Bush and Hughes got married at Lake Como in Italy in August 2021. Hughes, the founder of FocusMotion Health and an entrepreneur, took a picture of them kissing on a classic boat with a beautiful background to show how much they loved each other.
"She will always be my favorite. This is the best. And the life we're making together because she said "Yes" is already my favorite. I can't wait to live my life with you, my love."
Bush wore a yellow headscarf to this engagement picture shoot, and Hughes wore a black jacket.
Less than a year later, they got married in Oklahoma, where Hughes was from.
The "Good Sam" star said that the two of them took part in a couples' coaching program before they got engaged. Bush said about this, "She does [this program] with people who are getting ready for their wedding. We said, "We've been together for four months, but we think we're going to do this. We're not sure, but we need to know. We'll either get through this and decide that we're each other's people, or we'll find out that we're not, and we'll be friends.'" This information was shared in a podcast talk on "Podcrushed" three months before.
Hughes also related the story of their offbeat first date, which included being tested for COVID-19 at the same time during the 2020 pandemic.
Sharing that "our first date was also our first Covid test," he posted it online.
You may recall that Bush and her "One Tree Hill" co-star Chad Michael Murray were married from 2005 to 2006.
