Another cheating story? This one looks way more complicated, than just "wife catches husband cheating"! Graig LeBlanc, the police chief of Opelousas, Louisiana, recently confessed to cheating with another police officer. This turned into a love triangle, that ended with a shooting incident. Both he and his wife Crystal, a captain with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office, were wounded.

Chief LeBlanc recently admitted to the affair and the shooting, saying it was caused by "deeply personal" circumstances and calling it "infidelity" in a social media statement.
On December 22, Crystal LeBlanc visited the residence of Opelousas Police Officer Savannah Butler to confront her husband, Chief Graig LeBlanc, who was inside Butler's home, according to local reports from KADN. Officer Butler, who was carrying a gun, stepped in from the doorway to stop the fight between the husband and wife.
Trying to take Butler's gun away, Chief LeBlanc was shot in the hand, and his wife was also hit in the arm by the bullet. When the case was over, it was found that Butler had tried to hide evidence by cleaning up the scene before telling the police.
Officer Savannah Butler turned herself in to the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office on January 1. She was being charged with two counts of negligent injury, one count of obstruction of justice, and one count of firing a gun while on duty. She got out of jail on a $22,000 bond.
The circumstances surrounding the incident raised questions, as Chief LeBlanc had appointed Officer Butler to the Opelousas Police Department just days after her dismissal from the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office.
When he took over as police chief in January 2023, Chief LeBlanc said he understood how hard it was to rebuild trust. He promised to be open and accountable, and to serve the community with the utmost professionalism. Well, who knows how to catch someone cheating better than a police officer?
"I think this event shows how complicated relationships are and how much emotional pain cheating can cause. It's a reminder that everyone, even people in authority, can have personal problems and struggles," notes Wilda Harrison, a relationship psychologist.
