Oliver Hudson admitted that he cheated on Erinn before they got married in 2006 – he shared this on his podcast, Sibling Rivalry, on April 7.
According to E! News, Oliver admitted that before their engagement, he struggled psychologically and ended up cheating on her future wife. He felt terrible about it and knew he had to come clean before they got married.

Oliver explained that he never got caught cheating, but he couldn't keep it a secret. He felt he needed to tell Erinn everything before they took their relationship further.
He told Erinn that he was struggling psychologically and that he wanted to work through his issues because he valued her and their relationship a lot.
Erinn, who has a daughter named Wilder Brooks Hudson with Oliver, wasn't the only one supporting him during a tough time. He also got help from his mom, Goldie Hawn.
Oliver shared that his mom played a big role by helping him see the bigger picture in his relationship, not just focusing on what happened. He said it was about understanding why things happened and seeing the whole person, not just the mistakes they made.
Together, Oliver, who is 47, and Erinn, who is 51, worked through the challenges, including infidelity, with therapy and by putting effort into their relationship. Oliver admitted that while he doesn't regret what happened, he does regret causing pain to others.
He agreed that everyone makes mistakes, and some of them are extremely terrible. But the key is to learn from them! Oliver thinks that accepting your mistakes and knowing how they make you and other people feel helps you grow as a person.
Okay, but what do experts say? Let’s ask Wilda Harrison: “It may come as a surprise to you, but some psychologists believe that admitting to cheating is not always necessary.”
“Please, get me right: being honest is still very important, but bringing up past mistakes might just cause hurt and suspicion, which could make the relationship suffer even more. So, sometimes, it's just better to concentrate on building a solid future together rather than dwelling on the past,” she notes.
