It has been said for years that former Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem are having an affair. Nevertheless, since Governor Noem recently backed Donald Trump for president in 2024, these reports have gained new and somewhat suspicious speed.
The outlet heavily promoting this sensational story is DailyMail.com, which recentlypublished what it terms a "blockbuster story," alleging that this affair has been ongoing since at least 2019. Notably, neither Noem nor Lewandowski denied these claims.
DailyMail.com purportedly supports its allegations with a mix of out-of-context photos and numerous instances of trips that blended business with pleasure. These trips often involved flights on private planes provided by political donors and stays at luxury resorts, where their intimacy was allegedly observed and documented.
In response to these allegations, the governor's spokesperson, Ian Fury, issued a statement, characterizing the timing of the story as predictable and attributing it to Governor Noem's endorsement of Donald Trump.
The statement emphasized Governor Noem's preparedness for the scrutiny and criticism she anticipated, echoing her sentiment from the endorsement speech.
DailyMail.com has doubled down on its claims, this time pointing to photos from 2019, which were discovered amidst numerous other images on a South Dakota dog breeder's Facebook page. The photos suggest that both Noem and Lewandowski were present at the breeder's kennel.
DailyMail.com highlights a Facebook post by Champion Vizslas, which reads, "It was a real honor to host Governor Kristi Noem and Senate Candidate and former campaign manager for President Trump, Corey Lewandowski, here at our kennel recently." In the post, they mention that Kristi Noem recommended the breeder to Corey Lewandowski, who was looking for a Vizsla puppy for his son.
The allegations are further substantiated by accounts of their joint trips on private jets belonging to wealthy Republican donors who supported various political events.
Most notably, Noem and Lewandowski were frequent passengers on Louisiana oilman Greg Mosing's $27 million Bombardier Challenger 605, known for its luxurious interior and VIP amenities.
DailyMail.com also draws upon multiple unnamed sources, including a "Trump bundler" who was reportedly "shocked" to discover a guest log showing Noem and Lewandowski sharing a room during a 2021 donor retreat in Palm Beach.
Another source, described as a political consultant, is cited as remarking that the "intimacy" between Noem and Lewandowski was glaringly apparent. However, through all the ways to catch a cheater, trusting news agencies probably isn’t the smartest. What do you think?
