New surveys show that money issues like credit card debts and secret spendings can make relationships extremely difficult and even cause people to get divorced. Money, an online magazine, looked into these surveys to find out how people feel about money and their partners.

Even though couples often have money problems, research collected by Debt.com shows how secret spending habits can hurt things.
Based on those surveys, credit card debt is a big reason why people get divorced—more than one-third of those who got divorced said it was the reason they split up.
Shockingly, seven in 10 of those individuals claimed their former partners concealed this debt.
Money writers coined the term "financial infidelity" to describe this deception.
Besides credit card debt, conflicts about spending habits are another thing that can cause problems in a marriage.
Around 13% of respondents cited arguments over shopping habits, while 23% pointed fingers at spending on dining out.
However, the most significant source of contention, with 57% of respondents attributing it to arguments, is large expenses like cars and furniture.
