According to NBC News, Liu quickly responded, saying they wouldn’t discuss the topic and urged the reporter to avoid bringing such negativity to the event.
Lopez was even more straightforward, telling the reporter they should know better than to ask such a question. Later, Liu praised Lopez for her work on "Atlas," where she stars and serves as a producer.
"Atlas" is directed by Brad Peyton, known for his work on "Rampage" and "San Andreas."
Jennifer Lopez here plays the role of a scrupulous data analyst who is skeptical of AI. She goes to catch a rogue robot with a complicated past, but things go wrong, and she has to work with an AI robot to stay alive and save everyone.
Liu praised Lopez's hard work as a producer and said she cared a lot about diversity and inclusion. He told Sterling that a big reason he and she were in the movie is how she led.
“I think Jennifer Lopez and Simu Liu's response shows how to set boundaries and keep your mental space safe. People in public need to make sure that conversations stay focused on their work, especially when things are sensitive,” says Wilda Harrison, a relationship psychologist.
