David and Victoria had been married for just under five years when Rebecca Loos came forward in April 2004, claiming to have had an affair with the football star, an accusation he vehemently denied. Rebecca had served as David's assistant during his tenure with Real Madrid in 2003, and the bombshell revelation came shortly after she was released from her position.
However, Rebecca Loos was not the sole woman accused of involvement in extramarital affairs with David Beckham. In her 2001 autobiography, "Learning to Fly," Victoria Beckham wrote about rumors that David had kissed another woman while she was pregnant with their first child. Furthermore, allegations of affairs involving women named Sarah Marbeck and Danielle Heath surfaced, all of which David firmly refuted.
In September 2001, Victoria released her autobiography, "Learning to Fly." Within its pages, she recounted being on tour with the Spice Girls in 1998 while carrying their first child. During this time, David informed her that he was accused of kissing another woman.
"I went straight up to him and just swung at him, punched him," Victoria shared, reminiscing about her initial reaction upon seeing David after the rumors emerged. "I hadn't planned it. I hadn't punched anybody before. Just instinct. I just felt angry and hurt." Nonetheless, the couple preserved their relationship and proceeded to marry in November 1999, four months after the birth of their son, Brooklyn Beckham.
In April 2004, Rebecca Loos granted aninterview to Sky Newsin which she asserted that she had an affair with David Beckham while she was employed as his assistant during the latter half of 2003. She claimed to have had four sexual encounters with David between September and December that year and asserted that they continued to exchange text messages in the subsequent months.
David Beckham promptly released a statement in which he denied Rebecca's allegations, emphasizing his contentment with his marriage and his profound love for his wife and children.
Following Rebecca's explosive interview, Sarah Marbeck levied her allegations against David Beckham, claiming that he had been unfaithful to Victoria during the singer's tour. She also asserted that she exchanged "sexually explicit texts" with David over a period of two years.
Once again, David firmly denied these allegations, terming them "absurd and unsubstantiated." Victoria stood by her husband, asserting, "We have been through a lot worse than this, and we're definitely going to get through this." The couple instructed their lawyers to address these matters.
In October 2004, salon owner Danielle Heath became the next woman to allege involvement with David Beckham, claiming they had a liaison in Madrid. As in previous instances, David refuted these rumors, and he and Victoria issued a joint statement expressing their exasperation with those who sought to profit from their family. They emphasized the falseness of these allegations and their anticipation of a third child.
Victoria addressed the allegations of infidelity for the first time during a jointinterview with David in August 2007. She acknowledged the difficulties they had faced and described the period as a challenging one for both of them. Yet, she stressed that their marriage had grown stronger, and they were happier than ever.
In 2023, David and Victoria Beckham shared their experiences during a Netflix docuseries titled "Beckham." Victoria characterized 2004 as the "hardest period" of their marriage. She reflected on the immense unhappiness she had experienced and the feeling that the world and even they themselves were against their union.
David admitted that he didn't know how they had overcome that tumultuous period. Victoria was "everything" to him, and seeing her in pain was incredibly difficult. He attributed their survival to their fighting spirit and the need to protect their family and their love.
Rebecca Loos responded to all the recent attention with an Instagram comment. She thanked her supporters and conveyed her ability to handle the negativity with humor.
