Schwartz suggested: "If you’re unhappy in your relationship, if you feel lost, or if you're developing feelings for a coworker, don't cheat. Just sit down, have that uncomfortable conversation with your partner, go to therapy, or end it. Don't have an affair."
Sandoval, reflecting on his own issues, talked about the insecurity that kept him in a relationship: "I felt like I couldn't lose this person because I'd never find someone else. I was so insecure that if I let this go, it would never happen again. You can find that again, and banking on that is a safer bet than staying in that situation."
After facing public cheating scandals, Sandoval explained the addictive nature of infidelity: "You become an addict, clinging to the euphoria of the affair and hiding from the reality of your life. Looking back, I realize how lost I was."
The Bravo reality series, Vanderpump Rules, has seen numerous cast members accused of cheating since its 2013 premiere. This includes Kristen Doute admitting to cheating on Sandoval with Jax Taylor and Schwartz confessing to indiscretions before and after marrying Katie Maloney.
This year, the show took an unexpected turn with a major infidelity scandal involving Schwartz's hookup with Raquel Leviss. Sandoval and Ariana Madix ended their nearly decade-long relationship due to his affair with Raquel. Despite most of the cast siding with Ariana, Schwartz remained on good terms with Sandoval and Raquel.
"There are times when cheating doesn't mean that a relationship is over. It's sometimes a sign of deeper problems that both people in the relationship need to deal with. And the last one: demonizing cheaters makes relationship dynamics too basic. So, always think about the reasons first," notes Jennifer Person.
Sandoval said he was sorry for the trouble he caused and regretted the public scandal he caused. Schwartz, on the other hand, said he regrets his mistakes earlier this year and doesn't plan to get married again.Although, Sandoval and Schwartz haven’t shared any info on how to catch a cheater yet, we believe these guys can give you this advice too… Or just stay tuned with our blog!
