People who are cheating often leave clues, like lipstick on their shirt buttons or text messages that look like they are talking about cheating. But the digital age has brought new ways to catch a cheater, as shown by a recent TikTok video that went popular and shocked the husband of one man.

When Charlie (@charliebcx), a TikTok user, shared a video of his date's apartment stairwell, it turned out to be the start of the truth. There is a video with the caption "Leaving a hook up but this guy's staircase is kinda giving medieval," and Charlie can be seen dancing happily on the stairs to a medieval version of Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie."
This seemingly innocent video garnered more than 1.5 million views, with viewers both entertained by Charlie's antics and speculating about his date's obliviousness as they presumably slept in another room.
As one commenter humorously pointed out, "He was definitely still asleep when you did this," complete with a laughing emoji. However, another viewer issued a forewarning, suggesting that the married man's spouse might stumble upon the video, potentially revealing the husband's infidelity.
In an unexpected turn of events, this prediction materialized. Charlie shared the text messages he received from the married man in another video, accompanied by the caption "Homewrecker" with a heart emoji.
The messages from the married man were laced with shock and anger, reading, "Did you f*cking record TikTok on my staircase ?!???" In a mix of English and French, he added, "My husband saw this and asked if you and I met!!!"
This second video quickly garnered 905,900 views since its posting, leaving viewers astounded by the unfolding drama. Comments poured in, reflecting the astonishment of viewers and the unexpected plot twist.
"AND THE PLOT THICKENS," exclaimed one user, capturing the sentiment of many. Others couldn't help but chuckle at the use of the French insult "sous merde" and the sudden revelation.
The situation took an amusing turn when viewers noticed Charlie's suggestive contact name for the married man in his phone. It read "Le Marais," a neighborhood in Paris, followed by an eggplant emoji and the word "thick."
As the story continues to captivate its audience, one user eagerly wrote, "Algorithm, bring me back for the tea, please." The saga serves as a testament to the power of social media in uncovering secrets and exposing unexpected twists in the digital age.
"Now, look at it this way: cheating isn't always about leaving hints that can be used to catch the person. Some people may even drop false hints in order to get a response, or cause trouble in your relationships. Sometimes it's not about getting away with it; other times it's about getting attention or making you feel bad," warns Wilda Harrison, a relationship coach.
