Today we won’t talk about all those “wife catches husband cheating” stories, we’ve got much bigger scandal: reports say that Cher is arguing with her sons, Chaz Bono (54), and Elijah Blue Allman (47). They don't agree with her plan to split her huge $360 million fortune with her 37-year-old boyfriend, Alexander "AE" Edwards.

Insiders reveal that the grown children perceive Edwards as a potential gold digger and fear that the division of assets will adversely affect their inheritance. Along with the fear of losing Alexander, they also worry about what would happen if Alexander married the famous singer.
Close friends of Cher assert that she is motivated by a desire to secure Edwards' future. A friend emphasized Cher's autonomy over her wealth, stating, "It’s her money, and she has worked her b*** off since she was a teenager to amass it. It’s her right to leave whatever she wants to whoever she wants."
Rumors have it that Cher's relationship with her sons got worse a few months ago, when she talked about leaving him.
A glimpse into the timeline of Cher and Alexander "AE" Edwards' relationship reveals that their association began in November 2022. Cher, expressing her feelings on X, shared: “He’s 36 & in the end he came after me, till we met in the middle. He’s the consistent one, I’m the skittish one. We love each other… Ladies never give up.”
Prior to his relationship with Cher, Alexander, a music producer, confessed to infidelity in his previous relationship with Amber Rose, with whom he shares a three-year-old son.
Wilda Harrison, a relationship psychologist, says it's easy to see why Cher's sons might not like her decision to split her money with her boyfriend.
"But Cher owns her money and has the right to decide how it should be shared. There are a lot of family arguments about inheritance, but in the end, Cher's choice is based on her values and priorities, which may not match up with what her kids want", she notes.
