Crystal Renay recently talked about her split from Ne-Yo on The Breakfast Club. She started to feel doubtful about their relationship after Ne-Yo's interview on the show two years ago.

She recalled a moment during the interview when Ne-Yo said he'd prefer not to know if his partner was cheating.
After hearing his response, she felt something wasn't right. Crystal later found what she needed to confirm her doubts and made the decision to leave on that same day.
According to AOL, Ne-Yo and Crystal crossed paths back in 2015 during auditions for one of his music videos. He was busy with his album "Non-Fiction" then.
After a year of dating, they got engaged and were expecting their first child. Their wedding followed in February 2016.
Things hit a rough patch in 2020, leading Ne-Yo to file for divorce after their second child was born. But they patched things up later that year, with Ne-Yo proposing again on New Year's Eve 2021. They went all out with a big wedding in Las Vegas, and their third child arrived in June.
Crystal talked about their breakup earlier on Instagram, saying Ne-Yo was cheating on her.
Ne-Yo responded to Crystal on Twitter, saying they'll deal with their problems privately for their kids and family.
In June 2022, Ne-Yo opened up about his song "Don't Love Me," which was like a heartfelt letter to Crystal during a tough time in their marriage. He mentioned how emotional it was for both of them, as the song mirrored their struggles when they were contemplating divorce.
Two months after, Crystal decided to end her marriage with Ne-Yo. She said he had a baby with someone else and they couldn't fix their relationship anymore. They officially split on July 22, 2022.
Their divorce got finalized in January 2023, and they both share custody of their three children, according to TMZ.
“It seems like Crystal Renay relied a lot on her gut feeling when making decisions. You know, sometimes our instincts can be really spot on, especially in relationships. Trusting what your gut tells you, even if it goes against what everyone else is saying, can actually turn out to be the right choice in the end,” notes Wilda Harrison, a relationship psychologist.
