"I think Taylor is an amazing and fun person with a beautiful spirit, so I genuinely wish her all the best. However, I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't offer some advice—she should be cautious!" Benberry, 31, told DailyMail.com on Tuesday, even though she recently "liked" a comment on social media calling the pop star a "5."
"I'm sure by now she's developed a keen sense of who's truly there for her and who might just be taking advantage," Benberry added.
The marketing and brand consulting expert, who briefly dated the Kansas City Chiefs player in 2016 after winning his E! reality dating show, "Catching Kelce," hopes that Swift "learns from this experience and doesn't repeat it."
"Only time will tell," she continued, "but as the saying goes: 'Once a cheater, always a cheater.'"
Although Benberry didn't elaborate on her claims during the interview, she had previously hinted at Kelce's infidelity when he started dating his next girlfriend, Kayla Nicole.
"When you and your ex broke up five months ago, but you find out via social media that he’s supposedly been in another relationship for 6…" she wrote in a since-deleted tweet.
Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl champion, dated Nicole, 31, on and off from 2017 to 2022. Although he never publicly addressed Benberry’s allegations, he did deny being unfaithful to the sports broadcaster after a brief split in 2020.
“This is fake news… a lie… and not why Kayla and I broke up… take all your hatred somewhere else please,” he stated at the time.
An insider told that Kelce and Benberry "weren’t even together long enough for him to cheat on her."
“They dated literally less than three months, and they were contractually obligated to not announce their breakup," the source explained, noting that Benberry was "just the winner of the show."
“So when she says, ‘Once a cheater, always a cheater,’ she doesn’t even know what she’s talking about. This is very much a 15-minutes-of-fame type of a moment for her.”
The source also pointed out that Kelce has been in other public relationships since then where no allegations of cheating arose.
Representatives for Kelce and Nicole have not yet responded to requests for comment.
Out of the 50 women from all 50 states who were competing for Kelce's affection during the first and only season of his reality dating program, he chose Benberry from Kentucky, even though he had his reservations.
“I love your confidence, but at times, it does get overconfident,” Kelce told her at the time. “It kind of shows arrogance. I have been attracted to women like that my entire life, and those relationships didn’t work because of that.”
Reports of Kelce and Swift "hanging out" surfaced earlier this month after he attempted, albeit unsuccessfully, to give her his phone number via a friendship bracelet during her "Eras Tour" stop in Kansas City in July.
The couple appeared to confirm their relationship over the weekend when the Grammy-winning singer attended Kelce's football game alongside his mother and later showed affection toward him at the team's afterparty.
If you could advice Taylor Swift some ways to catch a cheater, what would it be?
"Well, here's an unpopular take: instead of constantly looking for signs of infidelity, try to build trust and communication in your relationship! Suspicion and paranoia can breed negativity and destroy the bond you share," warns Wilda Harrison, a relationship coach.
